Are you still dreaming about becoming a professional athlete?  SI.com has revealed the top money makers in professional sports with The Fortunate 50 List. If you really want to know, Tiger Woods is #1 on the list. He makes a jaw dropping $97,628,024 per year.  Endorsements comprise $87 million of his total salary.

It’s pretty obvious that winning tournaments is pocket change for Tiger. He’s destined to become the first pro athlete (if you even consider Golf a real sport) to make $100 Million Dollars a year. Fellow golf compatriot Phil Mickelson is a distant 2nd with $45,971,710.

Since I consider myself a closet NASCAR fan (Formula 1 is so dam boring these days), I looked to see if any race car drivers made the list. No real shocker here. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is the top race car driver at #9. I personally feel he makes way more than $25,761,830 due to the fact he owns a big piece of the empire his father built (race car teams, merchandise, etc). However, Dale Jr. is not the highest paid driver in the world. This honor goes to F1 Ace, Michael Schumacher, at $80 million. The six time world champion is #1 on the international 20 List.

SI.com claims the average wealth of Pro athletes fell by $500,000 as compared to last year. What a pity eh?
