It looks like the Hot Dog is going upscale. In downtown Los Angeles, the Trifecta Restaurant & Sports Lounge has started offering customers a $15 hot dog. Despite the outrageous price tag, the owner of Los Angeles’ famed Pink’s hot dog eateries gave Trifecta’s hot dog a positive review.

For $15, you get an all-beef foot-long hot dog with brown mustard, ketchup, New York style onions and sauerkraut on a buttered bun.

“It’s a beautiful looking dog”, Richard Pink said of the Trifecta dog. However, Pink doesn’t recommending the offering as a daily meal due to the higher than normal price. “A hot dog should be habit-forming”, he said. “You’re really going to have to love a hot dog at that price”.

Hot Dogs are supposed to be cheap and affordable meals. After all, most are made from cow lips and animal by products. Why settle for less? Cow bladder and chicken eye taste great together!
