As an avid runner, who runs miles and miles a day, I tend to look for a shoe with long-term durability and comfort.  My current shoe, the Asics Gel-Kinsei 1, have become popular among runners for their all-around comfort, durability and performance.  After logging hundreds of miles with my original pair, there’s still a lot of life left in it, plus my knees and ankles never felt better thanks to improved shock absorption and wing construction for stability.

The All New Asics Gel-Kinsei 2 - Overhyped Performance?

Now there’s a new version of the shoe with a lot more improvements, and yes, technology.  The Asics Gel-Kinsei 2 features extra dual-density gel cushioning, along with other enhancements to help you run even harder.

Additional features include asymmetric lacing to follow the shape of your foot, nano coating of metal for insulation and a Propulsion Trusstic System which helps forward propulsion.  And yes, the shoe also looks very sharp!

Like most purchases, high-concept technology notwithstanding, savvy consumers should go on a trial run before making a decision.  Perhaps in the not-so-distant future I’ll try out a new pair myself.  I hope my feet (and knees) react positively with the new shoe like it did with the old one.
