Did You Expect Any Less?

Lem’s Links of the Day

I felt like posting some interesting links for today.  Enjoy!

Bride sues over flower color - Not a good way to start off a marriage.  I hope these newlyweds agreed to a pre-nup.

Fish that can survive for months in a tree - Wow!  It must be the radioactive water.

Oprah’s Thyroid Made Her Fat - Enough excuses already.

Father of 67 wants to marry for 9th time - I can imagine the child support payments.

Man texting while driving hits train - He forgot to put his “Smart Cap” on.

Street Fighter 4 is finally here - I thought the 90’s are long over.

NYC woman finds python in the toilet - The Zoo ran out of room.

Children? Umm…Not Yet

A close relative of mine recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.  After seeing the baby for the first time, I was awestruck by the amount of hair on her head.  In fact, she probably has more hair than me.  I’m pretty sure she’ll grow up to be a fine person, just like her Mom and Dad.

Imaginary Diva and I would also like to have children someday.  But right now, we feel its not the right time.  Since my businesses are rapidly expanding, along with the break-in period for Imaginary Diva’s new job; we’ll probably wait another year before the subject of children become prevalent into our lives.  But for now, we’re both happy to offer some babysitting services if the need arises (without the diaper changing of course!).  ;-)

Today is Blog Action Day!

Blog Action Day is a great way to discuss important issues that concern all of us.  Right now, over thousands and thousands of bloggers all over the world are discussing the same issue relating to Climate change.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that Global Warming is a hot issue right now.  Sure, we can sit on our lazy asses and do nothing to stop the melting of ice caps and the spread of CO2 emissions.  But remember, we can all do our little part to help make our world a little cleaner and a lot less polluted.

Pick up a can, recycle paper or take the bus for a day.  By changing our habits for a single day, we can all make a big difference.  Whether you contribute big or small, all it takes is a little effort to garner big results.

My Christmas Shopping Begins

I always start my Christmas shopping pretty early and this year is no exception.  Even though Halloween is less than two weeks away, I find it beneficial to finish off all my shopping before the end of October.  I simply get the peace of mind that you would otherwise not experience during the peak Christmas shopping season.

Not only do I avoid heavy traffic and crowded malls, I also get the chance to purchase hard to find items (ie. Elmo TMX) before they sell out.  Unless a Super Sale is going on, the last thing I want to do is deal with long lineups or items picked over by hundreds of people so I can save a few measly bucks.  Plus, the last thing I need right now is additional stress lines on my forehead.  For me, dealing with the Christmas shopping season is simply not worth it!

By the time November and December arrives, everyone around me will be rushing to complete their shopping lists.  In the meantime, I’ll be sitting back, relaxing and waiting for Christmas to finally arrive.

Christmas should be the most enjoyable time of the year to spend with my family and friends.  Why make it less enjoyable by dealing with the Christmas rush?  Perhaps you can do yourself a favor by finishing your shopping early as well.  Take it from me, it’s definitely worth it!
