Another wave of flurries has taken over my neighborhood.  The park across my street is frozen in time as snow continues to layer the surroundings.  It was such a beautiful sight.  Since working at home has prevented me from commuting to work, appreciating the snow is a simple reminder to be grateful for my lifestyle.

Throughout the year, we don’t accumulate much snow in Southwest British Columbia.  But when the white stuff finally arrives, traffic chaos is usually the result.  From accidents to traffic jams, the evening news is filled with stories relating to our inability to maneuver around snow-infested roads.

The rest of Canada must be laughing at us by now.  Nevertheless, I’ll still take rain over snow anyday.
