Did You Expect Any Less?

The fourth and final season of Battlestar Galactica is well underway with intense speculation regarding the final Cylon.  For avid viewers of the popular show, these final episodes will hopefully tie up loose ends and unanswered questions that kept us glued to the TV screen for the past three seasons.

So far, the final season has been a barn-burner with character arcs taking a dramatic turn.  From religious cult leaders to human compasses, the producers have set a whirlwind of events that will ultimately lead to a finality of epic proportions.

No Frakking Way

You can go to any blog or website to find an educated guess regarding the final Cylon.  Based on the current tempo of the show, it wouldn’t surprise me if the entire human population is a bunch of “Skin Jobs” (Cylons), who eventually forgot their robotic lineage through the passage of time.  After all, this is a Science Fiction show, where extreme plot twists seem to be the norm with every episode.

Eventually, I hope the final Cylon will be revealed in a fitting fashion that made this series so different from many others.  With so many television shows becoming mere duplicates of each other (CSI, Cold Case Files, etc), it’s refreshing to know that shows, like BSG, continue to spark originality in an industry where “Cylons” are so commonplace.
