Did You Expect Any Less?
8 Jul
A couple days ago, I finally upgraded my web browser to Firefox 3. The third generation browser from Mozilla features new enhancements such as streamlined bookmarking, smart keyword functionality, less memory usage and plenty of other tweaks. Firefox 3 also boasts new security features to prevent phishing or illegitimate access to your personal information. Overall, the browser is quicker and a lot more stable than the dreadful monstrosity known as Internet Explorer 7.
Amid much fanfare, the release of FireFox 3 also set a new Guinness World Record for the largest number of software downloads in 24 hours. Another reason why Firefox has gained so much popularity is due to the many free add-ons available for use. From ad blockers to tab extensions, Firefox has allowed the masses to regain control of their browsing experience. For a list of recommended add-ons, you can check out my previous post about Firefox 2.
If you haven’t tried Firefox 3, download a copy and go for a test run. You will not be disappointed. To download a copy of Firefox 3, head over to Mozilla.com.
