Atari Cover Art with a Modern Twist

Call of Duty 4 on the Atari 2600?

I’ve been playing video games since the early 1980’s.  And yes, my eyes are pretty much wasted due to the countless hours in front of the TV.  I’ve also had the pleasure of owning an Atari 2600 back in the day.  Can you imagine playing modern day games, such as “Call of Duty 4″ or “Grand Theft Auto” on a classic system?

During the Golden Age of gaming, retail packages for cartridges had a visual norm that’s simplistic but quite charming even till this day.  Over at Minus World they’ve combined modern day gaming hits with a dash of old school cover art from the Atari 2600.  If you’re into retro gaming, it’s definitely worth checking out.  You can view the remaining goodies here!

My two hour workdays continues to batter my body and mental well being.  To reward myself for working so hard I decided expand my t-shirt collection by purchasing some new styles at CafePress.  From Space Invaders to Pac-Man, there’s always something worth salivating over.  In fact, there’s literally thousands of unique gifts, t-shirts, and more at CafePress.

Here’s my latest purchase from CafePress.

1. Space Invaders Vuitton Dark T-Shirt - Louis Vuitton inspired Space Invaders print with attacking retro video game aliens in designer colors.  High style for the more fashionable gamers, like me (bleh).

  • My Very Own LED Shower Light

My latest purchase from ThinkGeek.com is a sight to behold.  Since I love taking long warm showers in the morning, the LED Shower Light ensures a more enjoyable time to start my day.  Think of it as a personal disco or spotlight while cleaning up.  Plus, you never have to step in cold water again, since a blue light tells you the water is cold, while a red light tells you the water has warmed up to 89 degrees.  No batteries are needed because an internal turbine provides power to the LED!

The LED Shower Light is easy to install, works with standard shower pipes and makes shower time a lot more fun for you (or a partner).  A flow regulator controls water flow to 2.5 gallons per minute at 80 psi. Take it from me, this item is a great way to start any day!

The LED Shower Light is available at ThinkGeek.com.

  • The national anthem of the Soviet Union is a pretty catchy tune.  As a child of the 1980’s and WWE/WWF wrestling, I fondly remembered Nikolai Volkoff (a Soviet Heel wrestler) singing the song on a nightly basis.  Sure, Volkoff was booed most of the time but he sung it really well!

Thanks to YouTube, the old song for Soviet oppression is now an anthem for U.S. Presidential Candidate Barrack Hussein Obama.

Don’t take me wrong, I think Obama is a very interesting person.  However, this video is quite hilarious and makes a dramatic point.  A slap in the face to the Media Machine that created a God-like image in the first place!
