Did You Expect Any Less?

It was bound to happen sooner or later. My computer needed an upgrade to play the latest games!!! As an avid gamer, replacing hardware is a yearly ritual that brings out a sense of anticipation and excitement. Since most of the new games are taking advantage of the DirectX 10 platform, a powerful video card is necessary for high frame rates with the ability to show eye-popping graphics.
After performing my due dilligence, I finally ended up purchasing the EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX+ SSC Edition Video Card from TigerDirect. Packing extreme performance at a great price, this overclocked monster is more than capable of playing the latest games and more.
Compared to my previous card, the EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX+ raises the performance bar to another level. And when used with nForce SLI motherboards, I’m guaranteed a steady upgrade path by adding multiple cards in dual SLI configuration or triple SLI mode for even better performance. Yes, I know there’s a variety of faster video cards in the market, like the EVGA GeForce GTX 280 1GB PCIe 2.0, but their high price point does not justify the minimal gains at my preferred gaming resolutions.
Overall, the EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX+ SSC Edition Video Card has a great price/performance ratio for an nVidia product. I highly recommend the card for anyone looking to play the latest games with an option to build a dual or a triple SLI gaming system. The EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX+ SSC Edition Video Card offers extreme performance without breaking the bank.

I’ve been playing video games since the early 1980’s. And yes, my eyes are pretty much wasted due to the countless hours in front of the TV. I’ve also had the pleasure of owning an Atari 2600 back in the day. Can you imagine playing modern day games, such as “Call of Duty 4″ or “Grand Theft Auto” on a classic system?
During the Golden Age of gaming, retail packages for cartridges had a visual norm that’s simplistic but quite charming even till this day. Over at Minus World they’ve combined modern day gaming hits with a dash of old school cover art from the Atari 2600. If you’re into retro gaming, it’s definitely worth checking out. You can view the remaining goodies here!

My two hour workdays continues to batter my body and mental well being. To reward myself for working so hard I decided expand my t-shirt collection by purchasing some new styles at CafePress. From Space Invaders to Pac-Man, there’s always something worth salivating over. In fact, there’s literally thousands of unique gifts, t-shirts, and more at CafePress.
Here’s my latest purchase from CafePress.
1. Space Invaders Vuitton Dark T-Shirt - Louis Vuitton inspired Space Invaders print with attacking retro video game aliens in designer colors. High style for the more fashionable gamers, like me (bleh).
2. Legend of Zelda Tri-Force Shirt- A perfect old school theme for Nintendo fans. My old Zelda shirt was getting worn down so it was time to get another one!.
3. Pac Man Cherry Shirt - A pixelish red cherry shirt courtesy of Pac Man. A great gift for gamer gals & guys. My wife wants one too!
4. Pro Gamer Shirt - An NBA styled Gamers shirt for aspiring professionals.
5. Red Mushroom Shirt - Did you spend your childhood button mashing on your Nintendo? The mushroom needs no explanation!

My latest purchase from ThinkGeek.com is a sight to behold. Since I love taking long warm showers in the morning, the LED Shower Light ensures a more enjoyable time to start my day. Think of it as a personal disco or spotlight while cleaning up. Plus, you never have to step in cold water again, since a blue light tells you the water is cold, while a red light tells you the water has warmed up to 89 degrees. No batteries are needed because an internal turbine provides power to the LED!
The LED Shower Light is easy to install, works with standard shower pipes and makes shower time a lot more fun for you (or a partner). A flow regulator controls water flow to 2.5 gallons per minute at 80 psi. Take it from me, this item is a great way to start any day!
