Did You Expect Any Less?

The 2015 BMW ZX-6 Concept Car is supposed to be a car of the future? Um…I hope not.
Maybe I’m getting older. Perhaps my brain cells are deteriorating beyond a point where I can hardly remember the finer things in life, like fine food or eye catching cars. Unfortunately, the ZX-6 is an aerodynamic monstrosity that fails to appeal my senses. Nevertheless, I’ll give BMW credit for pushing the envelope in terms of visionary design. Too bad they didn’t include any resemblance of good taste with their overall look.

2015 BMW ZX-6: The Hub Caps Look Like a Toilet Bowl Cover
Designed by Jai Ho Yoo and Lukas Vanek, I’m not fully convinced that similar designs will make it on the road by 2015. Maybe 50 to 100 year from now but do you honestly expect to find a similar design in 7 years? Call me insane but BMW is really pushing the limit.
Oh well, at least the aerodynamics and integrated hubcaps look pretty interesting. Just don’t expect to find yours truly driving one of these futuristic Pintos.

Another mini-vacation to California? Perhaps this weekend I’ll get another chance to relax in the warm L.A. sunshine. Since I have nothing else on my schedule for the next week, this little trip will come at a very good time. My previous mini-vacation was a lot of fun, so why not do it again?

In the meantime, I’ll try surfing around for plane tickets later tonight. Imaginary Diva and I will make a final decision within the next 24 hours.

Here’s a sneak peek into my home office. As you can tell by the picture, I’m a pretty simple guy with basic needs.

Overall, running a home based business has some pretty good perks. I get to wake up in the morning without dressing up for work. There’s no boss peering over my shoulder nor do I have any corporate deadlines to meet.
I have no regrets leaving the so-called corporate rat race. Now I run my own race by reaping the fruits of my labor.

Every once in a while a trip down memory lane can be such a pleasurable experience. A week ago, Imaginary Diva and I went to the last remaining drive-in movie theatre in the region. Located in Aldergrove, British Columbia, the Twilight Drive-In is a great way to spend an evening with family, friends, and, of course, that special date.
The Twilight Drive-In was only built in 2005 so all of the facilities are still relatively new and well maintained. Since a majority of customers are families and kids, the atmosphere brought upon a much more serene feel, especially compared to modern day movie theaters. There are no pesky teenagers or loud mouths ruining the experience.
The facility is well engineered to provide good sightlines for all vehicles. Even watching a movie within the confines of my car was a comfortable experience. No speaker poles were needed, since the audio feed was broadcasted via FM stereo into my car speakers. You can even sit outside on a lawnchair to enjoy the movie.
During the weekends, customers can stay and view up to three movies throughout the evening. All of the movies are new releases; a great value when you consider the cost of a single movie in modern day theatres. We were free to leave at anytime so watching every single movie was not obligatory.
If you’re looking for an enjoyable viewing experience, I would highly recommend a visit to the Twilight Drive-in. It’s a great form of escapism that many of us can still enjoy today!
