Did You Expect Any Less?

Known as the benchmark for performance running shoes, the 13th version of the Asics Gel-Kayano does not disappoint. Featuring thicker gel cushioning units in the heel and interior biomorphic material molds to the forefoot, all this added technology translates into a light and springy shoe that’s well behaved during slow jogs or all-out sprints. Like previous versions to bear its name, standard support and cushioning for neutral runners and overpronators reduces unnecessary wear and fatigue with every run. Plus, at 12.6 oz; the Asics Gel-Kayano 13 remains a lightweight package that feels great during those long jogs.

Asic Gel-Kayano 13 - Gets Better All The Time
I’ve owned various pairs of Gel-Kayano’s in the past. And the shoe itself did not disappoint. Unfortunately, due to my various jogging paths, especially on different types of terrain, I wore them out pretty fast (too fast for my liking). Nevertheless, every pair felt super comfortable and worth every penny.
Despite its high price point, the Asics Gel-Kayano 13 is a great choice for serious joggers or experienced athletes looking for a lightweight shoe that really performs. And don’t let the number 13 scare you. Just by wearing these shoes, you’ll feel really lucky at the end of a run and your feet will thank you for wearing them.

As a big-time football fan, the Running Back position has always been my favorite. And without a shadow of a doubt (at least in my honest opinion), Barry Sanders was the greatest player to ever play this position.
Though short at 5’8, no other player had the ability to outwit defenders based on sheer mobility and speed. Throughout his career, a broken play was consistently turned in a highlight reel, thanks to his ability to create turmoil at the line of scrimmage. And best of all, he was a first-class guy, even till his untimely retirement during the prime of his career.
I don’t know if there will ever be another running back like Barry Sanders, but rest assured, his legacy will be remembered for a long time to come. Check out the highlight reel and you will know what I mean.

As an avid runner, who runs miles and miles a day, I tend to look for a shoe with long-term durability and comfort. My current shoe, the Asics Gel-Kinsei 1, have become popular among runners for their all-around comfort, durability and performance. After logging hundreds of miles with my original pair, there’s still a lot of life left in it, plus my knees and ankles never felt better thanks to improved shock absorption and wing construction for stability.
The All New Asics Gel-Kinsei 2 - Overhyped Performance?
Now there’s a new version of the shoe with a lot more improvements, and yes, technology. The Asics Gel-Kinsei 2 features extra dual-density gel cushioning, along with other enhancements to help you run even harder.
Additional features include asymmetric lacing to follow the shape of your foot, nano coating of metal for insulation and a Propulsion Trusstic System which helps forward propulsion. And yes, the shoe also looks very sharp!
Like most purchases, high-concept technology notwithstanding, savvy consumers should go on a trial run before making a decision. Perhaps in the not-so-distant future I’ll try out a new pair myself. I hope my feet (and knees) react positively with the new shoe like it did with the old one.

A friend recently invited me to play a round of Golf. I kindly thanked him for the invite but I refused to go. To be honest, I really can’t stand Golf. It’s the most pathetic game ever created, not to mention, a very expensive pastime. I always laugh when people say “Golf is a sport you can never master”. Like I really care.
Golf is not a real sport. A real sport requires sweat, constant movement and skill. Flicking your wrist with a titanium shaft doesn’t make you an athlete. A fat slob, like John Daly, can swing a golf club, raid the liquor cabinet and stuff 20 burritos down his throat, while finishing a round of golf. Does this make him an ideal athlete or a sportsman? I think not.

Whether you run a marathon, shoot a basket or fight for a winning touchdown, a real sport will have you sweating hard at the end of the game. And when you step on top of the podium, you had better be gasping for air before claiming that shiny trophy. Golf doesn’t give you this opportunity.
Blackjack requires intelligence and skill, but not movement nor sweat. Flying a kite requires movement and sweat, but requires no skill or intelligence. And Golf? Golf requires skill and movement, but little intelligence, and very little sweat.
Golf is equivalent to playing Darts. At least with Darts, you don’t have to pay 100 bucks per round, plus a set of darts is cheaper than those overpriced Golf clubs gathering dust in your garage.
