Did You Expect Any Less?

A couple days ago, I finally upgraded my web browser to Firefox 3. The third generation browser from Mozilla features new enhancements such as streamlined bookmarking, smart keyword functionality, less memory usage and plenty of other tweaks. Firefox 3 also boasts new security features to prevent phishing or illegitimate access to your personal information. Overall, the browser is quicker and a lot more stable than the dreadful monstrosity known as Internet Explorer 7.
Amid much fanfare, the release of FireFox 3 also set a new Guinness World Record for the largest number of software downloads in 24 hours. Another reason why Firefox has gained so much popularity is due to the many free add-ons available for use. From ad blockers to tab extensions, Firefox has allowed the masses to regain control of their browsing experience. For a list of recommended add-ons, you can check out my previous post about Firefox 2.
If you haven’t tried Firefox 3, download a copy and go for a test run. You will not be disappointed. To download a copy of Firefox 3, head over to Mozilla.com.

He’s crude, he’s rude and he’s damn funny. The Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN) continues to amass a cult following thanks to his quirky, albeit grotesque reviews of classic video games from the 1980’s and early 90’s.
As an avid video gamer, I’ve played my fair share of crappy games through the years. Thanks to AVGN, I can get a good laugh at those relics from the 8-bit & 16-bit era; a culmination of memories that drove my imagination wild.
The AVGN theme song is also a pretty catchy tune; a melodic charm that never exactly leaves your head. Here’s a nice rendition of the song on Mario Paint. Enjoy!

I remember playing with those little green army men during my childhood years. My imagination would conjure up pretty cool battlefield scenarios, where my green marines would constantly defeat unsuspecting enemies with superior firepower and strategy. Of course, not a single Marine from my squadron would ever die because each one had a personal shield device for added protection.
Now I can take my love of little army men to the next level with the Dueling Space Marine Copter Set from ThinkGeek. You and a friend can have an exciting duel in the air, while unleashing invisible laser beams at each opposing Marine. Upon a successful hit the enemy will lose power and fall crashing to the ground. In addition, simulated sound effects and flashes adds a realistic element to the gunfire.
Ahh…a perfect toy for men who never want to grow up. Time to whip out my credit card!
Available at ThinkGeek.com for $49.99.
