The Twilight Drive-In was only built in 2005 so all of the facilities are still relatively new and well maintained.  Since a majority of customers are families and kids, the atmosphere brought upon a much more serene feel, especially compared to modern day movie theaters.  There are no pesky teenagers or loud mouths ruining the experience.

The facility is well engineered to provide good sightlines for all vehicles.  Even watching a movie within the confines of my car was a comfortable experience.  No speaker poles were needed, since the audio feed was broadcasted via FM stereo into my car speakers.  You can even sit outside on a lawnchair to enjoy the movie.

During the weekends, customers can stay and view up to three movies throughout the evening.  All of the movies are new releases; a great value when you consider the cost of a single movie in modern day theatres.  We were free to leave at anytime so watching every single movie was not obligatory.

If you’re looking for an enjoyable viewing experience, I would highly recommend a visit to the Twilight Drive-in.  It’s a great form of escapism that many of us can still enjoy today!

Amid much fanfare, the release of FireFox 3 also set a new Guinness World Record for the largest number of software downloads in 24 hours.  Another reason why Firefox has gained so much popularity is due to the many free add-ons available for use.  From ad blockers to tab extensions, Firefox has allowed the masses to regain control of their browsing experience.  For a list of recommended add-ons, you can check out my previous post about Firefox 2.

Since working two hours a day is taking a toll on my body, mind and soul, yours truly will find any excuse to plan another getaway.

My next destination will involve palm trees, lots of music, and plenty of sunshine. No, we’re not going to Mexico, like most Canadians.

At the moment, I don’t feel like disclosing the country or geographical area. But I will reveal our vacation will be spent on a Cruiseship!

Launch a napalm strike to decimate a forest or call in a nuclear missile to wipe out your enemies.  There’s an infinite amount of strategies a player can employ to ensure a victorious ouctome for the team.  In addition, instant action allows for continuous gameplay with minimal stoppages.  There’s no resource gathering for minerals, lengthy wait times or building fortifications.  You head straight into the theatre of war and utter destruction!

Now my addiction can be fuelled even further thanks to an upcoming expansion pack called World in Conflict: Soviet Assault.  An abundance of new content will keep me glued to the PC monitor all night long (again).

If you’re an avid gamer who hasn’t tried WIC, get off yer ass, rush over to an electronic store and pick up a copy.  Just don’t blame me if the wife starts nagging you to get off the PC.

If you don’t know by now, I’m a pretty big Stargate fan.  Yes, I have the complete DVD collection of both series, along with the odd souvenir that fandom obviously provides.  Moreover, I’m also looking forward to Stargate Worlds, a Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) currently under development by Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment.

My fetish with Stargate may seem pretty hardcore; however, it pales in comparison to a fan who actually built an authentic looking Stargate Home Theatre within the confines of his home.  No, I am not kidding!

A sight to behold for Sci-Fi geeks, this amazing theatre is highlighted by a 10 foot diameter Stargate along with a décor that faithfully mimics the Stargate Atlantis TV show.  Even more impressive is a fiber-optic stardome on the ceiling with sky mural and twinkling stars.  For added realism, dual projectors display similar water effects into the Stargate as commonly seen with every episode. 

An intergalactic experience for wormhole aficionados, the Stargate Home Theatre is a great way to burn some unneeded cash.  Hmm…since I’m currently in the market for a new home, perhaps a similar home theatre is worth pursuing after all.

UPDATE: A couple minutes ago, I received a email from my hosting company about the problem.  It seems my server is overloaded at the moment, a likely cause for the slowdown with IE 7.  Hopefully, they can reduce the load to display my site in a timely manner on both IE7 and Firefox.

When I finally got home last night, my body literally shut down due to all the activities I put myself through.  Furthermore, I fell into a big slumbersome sleep for the next 12 hours, only to wake up the next day during mid afternoon.

Here are a couple of pictures I’ve managed to upload during my stay.  I’ll try adding more the next couple of days. In the meantime, I better get some sleep. My body is still pretty beat up. Enjoy!

We plan to spend an entire day in Disneyland, plus check out a couple Salsa venues, like the infamous Club Mayan.  Hmmm…my Salsa Dance lessons with the Grupo America Dance Company may be useful after all .  My flight leaves in a couple of hours so I better make this post short.

Like my previous vacation in San Diego, I’ll try posting some pictures when the time arises.  In the meantime, I look forward to sunny days and plenty of good times!

Even though I live in the warmest part of Canada, it’s far from a tropical paradise through most of the year.  Imaginary Diva and I would like to move south for the winter, where chilly weather is a mere dream.  Since we both work from home, this mobility allows us to assume operations wherever we decide to reside.  Plus, the U.S. housing market is taking such a dive lately; we can probably find a good deal on a Vacation condo, like in Miami.  The only thing stopping us right now is…Gulp….kids.  We would like to have a daughter or son in the near future.

Who knows what the future may hold?  But I do know, a vacation home is a goal we’ve already planned.  Perhaps it’s time to accelerate those plans while were still relatively young.  Freedom 65 is simply too far away.

A couple days ago I discovered a neat looking Space Invaders Hoodie from an online seller.  Since my wardrobe is already lavished with video game fandom, this hoodie would make a decent addition to my collection.  Unfortunately, a cost of 150 dollars; the price tag doesn’t amuse me at all.

Such a lame attempt at price gouging is a pathetic sight to behold.  I’m not going to reveal the seller of this item nor do they warrant any free advertising from me.  Who do they think they are?  The Loui$ Voo-ton of Video Game Fashion?  This is Space Invaders for crying out loud!

Don’t take me wrong.  The design has an appealing look, even the neon highlights is a definite attention grabber.  Too bad a high price point will turn off many fans.  Plus, similar clothing can be found at a way cheaper price by simply going to established merchants such as CaféPress or eBay.  Heck, I could get my two year old nephew to design a better looking hoodie with his crayons. 

In the end, I’ll take my online shopping somewhere else; far away from this pseudo-urban style of fashion that smells like cow manure on a hot Summer day.
